1. White etching cracks
Initiated by a corporate member of the society, this study on “White Etching Cracks” was compiled by bearing manufacturers, lubricant developers, users, and scientists. The objective was to frame a position paper, in which the state of knowledge and current findings are summarized and substantiated by relevant sources. The document also intends to form a basis for agreements between contractual partners and to motivate further work in this area.
