Inhalt Abstract
For the tribological characterization of microstructured surfaces the flow factor method according to the Average Flow Model is used to describe die influence of the surface roughness on the lubricant flow. The flow factors describe the lubricant flow changes by local solving the Reynolds differential equation on the rough surface. To evaluate mixed friction a contact analysis is being performed in addition to the hydrodynamic analysis on the rough surface. The goal is to create flow factor and contact pressure maps depending on the mean gap for further analysis of macroscopic lubricated contacts. The elastic, nonlayered half space is the basis for the contact analysis. To improve the effects in a tribological contact analysis a layered half space model is being implemented into the flow factor analysis to be able to consider layered surfaces like on bearing shells in journal bearings. This model is based on Papkovich-Neuber potential functions which are being used to describe the elastic deformation on a surface in an influence matrix which can easily be implemented into the previous contact analysis.
